Focus on the coffee farmer

We are excited to announce both Graciano Cruz as well as Pascale Schuit as speakers for Barista Camp. Graciano Cruz is a full-time specialty coffee farmer living in Panama at the foot of Volcan Baru, just few minutes from his main farms - Los Lajones and Emporium. He will be sharing his thoughts on how to establish and maintain quality all the way from the farmer to the barista and final consumer.

As a sustainable relationship manager for Union, Pascale works in the field on sustainability issues, from labour rights to transparency and traceability throughout the value chain. At Barista Camp, she will be sharing an in-depth view on the challenges and constraints that Coffee Leaf Rust puts on the sustainability of the specialty coffee farmer.

We are very happy that with Graciano and Pascale, we are able to bring insights and concerns from a farmer's perspective on speciality coffee to Barista Camp.
